Nissan Altima Recalls 2010
Nissan is recalling 3,403 2009 Altimas due to lug nuts potentially loosening on the wheels. This problem is affecting Altimas with 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels. If the lug nuts loosen up over time you can lose control of the vehicle and get into an accident -- imagine that for your first date. It is important that you double check your Altima and see if you are effected. The recall should begin ASAP this month.
Nissan will replace affected wheels with new ones manufactured to proper specs. Affected vehicles were manufactured at Nissan's Canton, Mississippi, plant from July 24 to August 14 of this year. Altima owners may contact Nissan at 800-647-7261 for more information and questions.
