The Nissan Murano is a mid-size crossover SUV first introduced by Nissan in December 2002 and sold as a 2003 model. Initially designed at Nissan America in La Jolla, California, the first generation Murano was based on the Nissan FF-L platform first used by the third generation Altima. The second generation of the Cube, released in 2002 with a larger interior than the previous model. The combination of angled and curved surfaces was based on the third generation of the March, powered by a 1.4 L I4 engine. The model included the "e4WD" system as an option, which transfers power to the rear wheels when the front wheels spin via a small electric motor on the rear underside of the floor. The electrically powered system allows for reduced drivetrain powerloss when only driving in FWD mode.
The Nissan Leaf (also formatted "LEAF" as acronym for Leading, Environmentally friendly, Affordable, Family car) is a compact 5-door hatchback electric car to be produced by Nissan.[1] According to the manufacturer, the Leaf's all-electric range is 100 miles (160 km) in city driving.
Sales are scheduled to begin in the United States and Japan in December 2010, followed by Portugal in January 2011, Ireland in February, the U.K. in March, and the Netherlands in June, with global market availability planned for 2012. As the reservation process began for U.S. customers, Nissan announced that availability for December 2010 is limited in quantities and to select markets and initially through online reservations only. The availability will be increased by spring 2011, with full U.S. market rollout planned for 2012.
The announced price in Japan starts at ¥3.76 million (approximately US$43,000 ), US$32,780 in the United States, GB£28,990 in the United Kingdom, and approximately under €35,000 in the other three European countries where it will be launched first; these prices include the price of the battery package, and almost all countries have applicable tax incentives or subsidies.
The Nissan Altima (pronounced /ˈɔːltɨmə/; Japanese: 日産・アルティマ) is a series of mid-size automobiles manufactured by Nissan, and is arguably a continuation of the Nissan Bluebird line, which began in 1957. It has historically been larger, more powerful, and more luxurious than the Nissan Sentra but less so than the Nissan Maxima. The Altima is available in North America as well as the Middle East. In other markets, Nissan sells a related mid-size sedan called the Nissan Teana, built on the same FF-L platform used by the 2002–2006 Nissan Altima.
The name "Altima" originally referred to a trim line of the Nissan Laurel mid-size car sold in Central America and the Caribbean before 1992. In 1993, Nissan discontinued its much-criticized Stanza, replacing it with the US-made Altima, while remaining a compact car. The very first Altima rolled off the assembly line on June 15, 1992, as a 1993 model. All Altimas had been built in Smyrna, Tennessee, until June 2004, when Nissan's Canton, Mississippi, plant began producing additional Altimas to meet high demand.

Nissan Motor Co. recalled Infiniti G35 sedans and coupes because of faulty airbags that may not deploy during a crash, U.S. regulators said.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said as many as 134,215 G35 sedans from model years 2005-2006 and G35 coupes from model years 2005-2007 are subject to the recall.
The recall is for vehicles sold both in and outside of the United States, a Nissan official said.
Nissan has yet to inform federal officials how the problem will be fixed, the agency said. Nissan informed U.S. safety regulators of the potential problem two weeks ago, NHTSA reports show.
NHTSA said a wire harness for the airbags may wear down to the point that it could interrupt a signal to deploy the airbags in the event of a crash.
The report mentioned no crashes or injuries related to the problem.
Nissan Motor Co. will immediately move some vehicle production from Japan to Mexico to cushion the blow of a strong yen, the company says.
The vehicles — most likely the small Tiida — would be made in Mexico and exported to markets around the world, according to Nissan North America, which oversees Mexican operations.
The Tiida is currently manufactured in both Mexico and Japan, where the steep appreciation of the yen has deflated this year’s earnings for both Nissan and Toyota Motor Corp.
Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn announced on Feb. 9 that the company will report losses of about $2.9 billion for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2009. He vowed to undertake global cost-cutting moves that included the elimination of 20,000 personnel. About 12,000 of them are occurring in Japan.
The yen’s trading value is a major concern to the Japanese industry.
Jogi Tagawa, Nissan’s corporate vice president and global treasurer, told analysts this month that every one-yen change in the yen-dollar exchange rate has an $85.7 million impact on Nissan’s operating profit. In the past six months, the dollar has dropped by 15 yen — an operating profit blow of nearly $1.3 billion, according to Tagawa’s formula.
